According to Star on August 27th, Kenya will host the 8th Kenya International Industrial Fair at the Sarit Expo Center in Nairobi next month. The expo will open on September 4th and close on September 6th. This expo is expected to attract over 200 international exhibitors, most of whom are from China, as well as over 6000 business visitors and trade representatives. This expo is jointly organized by Afripeak Expo Kenya Ltd, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), and the Kenya Investment Authority, with the theme of "Investing in the Future - Trade Prosperity". The aim of this event is to promote Kenya's industrial development by building a communication bridge between local enterprises and global manufacturers, suppliers, investors, and innovators in key fields. The expo covers multiple fields, including architecture and infrastructure, manufacturing and machinery, energy and green technology, automobiles and transportation, textiles, information and communication technology, and agricultural equipment. During the Expo, the bilateral trade volume between Kenya and China in 2024 has exceeded 8 billion US dollars (approximately 1.03 trillion shillings), and China remains Kenya's main source of imports, especially in industrial equipment, electronic products, and building materials.
