The Tanzanian government has invited Türkiye's investors to invest in strategic areas such as infrastructure, energy and agriculture, which is part of the efforts of the two countries to accelerate economic development and deepen diplomatic cooperation. The invitation was proposed by the Minister of Finance, Ambassador Hamis Moussa Omar, who met with Türkiye's ambassador to Tanzania, Dr. Bekil Jezel, in Dar es Salaam, and was accompanied by the delegation of Türkiye's Export Credit Bank. Ambassador Omar called on Türkiye to participate in the construction of transportation infrastructure, especially the third and fourth sections of Standard Gauge Railway (SGR); Türkiye's Export Credit Bank has expressed its intention to provide financial support for these two railways, because they are the key part of the railway network connecting Dar es Salaam with Tanzania's inland and neighboring countries, and will effectively promote regional and international trade. Ambassador Omar said, "The completion of the standard gauge railway project will make Tanzania a transportation and trade hub in East and Central Africa, creating investment opportunities for areas along the railway and opening up economic development corridors
