The Tanzanian government reiterated its commitment to improving the business and investment environment to accelerate industrial growth, create employment opportunities, and enhance the private sector's contribution to the economy. This stance was reaffirmed by Judith Kapinga, the Minister of Industry and Trade, during meetings in Dodoma with representatives from Huawei, Sunflag (Tanzania) Ltd., Tanzania GS1, Serengeti Brewery Ltd., and Dangote Cement. She emphasized that the government's focus is on ensuring efficient operations for local enterprises, adopting modern technologies, and producing globally competitive products. Additionally, the minister noted that her department is collaborating with other ministries to address challenges faced by traders and investors, thereby driving the country's industrial transformation. During discussions with Wen Wei, General Manager of Huawei's Business Development Department, both parties explored ways to strengthen cooperation in the information and communication technology sector, aiming to create jobs and foster digital innovation through initiatives such as the "Digital Truck" and the Information and Communication Technology Institute.
