The Ethiopian Customs Commission (ECC) has fully digitized its services, aiming to provide customers with fast and modern services, especially for importers and exporters. He added that the digital economy is one of the core pillars of the "local economic reform" economic sector. To this end, the committee has established a digital system to assist importers and exporters in conducting business activities online. The Deputy Commissioner pointed out that the Electronic Single Window (ESW) system integrates more than 70 institutions and supports traders to submit all import and export related applications in bulk, playing an important role in reducing application costs, minimizing process delays, and avoiding document duplication. In addition, he also mentioned that an intelligent border customs management system is currently being implemented at border customs stations, which is equipped with cameras with artificial intelligence functions and covers a range of about 50 kilometers.
