John Leonard Mugwai, Director of the International Legal and Social Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, told TASS that Uganda is interested in cooperating with Russia in the oil and gas sector. He noted: "Russia possesses extensive experience and expertise in the energy field, and we are exploring various opportunities for collaboration in this area. At the same time, we are seeking partnership prospects in the oil and gas sectors—where Russia has demonstrated exceptional capabilities, along with strengths in construction and information and communication technologies. We aim to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation." Mugwai also emphasized that Uganda hopes to develop trade relations with Russia across multiple sectors.
