Tanzanian government spokesperson Gesen Msiwa revealed to the media on November 23, 2025 that the country's ongoing construction of urban railway lines, as well as the upgrading of Bagamoyo Port and Kigoma Port, are all major projects. Msiwa assures the world that Tanzania remains safe and stable as it continues to implement major development projects. Mr. Msiwa also serves as the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, emphasizing the importance of these projects, including the construction of urban railway lines and the development of major ports such as Bagamoyo Port, whose construction work is scheduled to start in December this year. In addition, the upgrade project of Kigoma Port is also about to commence. According to Mr. Msiwa, Tanzania's tourism industry has shown strong development momentum in recent years, with the target of increasing the number of tourists from 2 million to 8 million.
