According to Monitor on November 5th, Eurogold has established a strategic partnership with the Mubende Union Artisanal Miners Association (MUAM) to promote Uganda's "Vision 2040" and enhance the added value of the country's gold industry. On November 3, 2025, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding at Eurogold headquarters in Kampala, marking an important step for Uganda in building a more inclusive, transparent, and sustainable gold industry. Under this cooperation framework, Eurogold will acquire gold from miners in Mubende and refine it to a purity of 99.9% (24K), meeting the highest international standards for global transactions. This measure not only ensures fair value for artisanal miners, but also consolidates Uganda's position as a key participant in the international gold market. Gold remains one of Uganda's main export commodities, making significant contributions to promoting foreign remittances, increasing employment, and attracting investment. By promoting responsible mining and refining practices, this cooperation contributes to economic growth, enhances foreign exchange stability, and aligns with the country's goals of industrialization and sustainable development.
