According to a report by *ENA* on October 30, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that Ethiopia's wheat production has seen a significant year-on-year increase. Today, he conducted an on-site inspection of the rainy-season wheat harvest, initiated the production of summer wheat, and assessed the development of banana, pawpaw, and fisheries clusters in the East Shewa Zone. In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote: "The focus of our visit to East Shewa Zone today was to review the rainy-season wheat harvest and commence the production of summer wheat." In the same area, he also conducted a detailed inspection of the development of banana, pawpaw, and fisheries clusters. The Prime Minister noted: "Although traditional farming methods still hold a place, the continuous improvement in mechanization levels in the region has significantly enhanced agricultural efficiency and productivity." Reflecting on the past, he wrote: "If these modern methods had been adopted years ago, our agricultural output would undoubtedly have been vastly different." The Prime Minister emphasized: "Today, we have witnessed a year-by-year significant increase in productivity."
