According to a report by *Star* on October 16, global logistics giant DHL Group plans to invest 300 million euros (approximately 44.9 billion Kenyan shillings) in its African operations, with part of the funds allocated to constructing a new headquarters for its Kenya subsidiary in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The company announced this new investment while releasing its latest logistics tracking report in Johannesburg, South Africa. The report revealed that in the first half of this year, trade volume in Sub-Saharan Africa grew faster than in the Americas and the Caribbean, making it the fastest-growing region, primarily driven by export growth. The investment will be gradually deployed over the next five years, with the company aiming to enhance its capacity in key sectors such as e-commerce, perishables, energy, and life sciences and healthcare. DHL's logistics operations are divided into five divisions, including DHL Express for courier services, DHL Global Forwarding for cross-border freight, DHL Supply Chain for contract-based logistics services for specific enterprises, as well as Deutsche Post's parcel and e-commerce businesses.
