According to a report by *Star* on October 12, the second China (Linyi)-Kenya International Commodity Exhibition opened grandly in Nairobi, Kenya, attracting over 100 exhibitors. The three-day event featured government officials and corporate executives from both Kenya and China. The exhibition included matchmaking sessions and showcased manufacturing products from both countries. Florence Sogut, General Manager of Ikapaa Media East Africa Ltd., revealed that her company, as an international conference and event organizer, participated in the marketing efforts of the expo. She estimated that the event would attract over 6,000 visitors from Kenya and abroad. Sogut stated, "This expo aims to help local businesses obtain products directly from factories. All exhibitors are manufacturers from China, who came to meet local traders, exporters, and other business operators." She added that among the 20 Kenyan exhibitors, visitors—including local retailers—could access high-quality Chinese-made products directly, bypassing intermediaries. Sogut also noted that during the three-day event, Chinese exhibitors would have the opportunity to gain insights into local business trends, particularly the market's receptiveness to imported Chinese products.
