According to a report by *Logistics Update Africa* on the 27th, on September 22, 2025, DP World and Kenya's eCitizen Solutions signed an agreement in Nairobi to implement the digital customs platform CARGOES Customs via the government's eCitizen platform. This agreement will enable importers, exporters, and customs brokers to manage declarations more efficiently while supporting the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) in inspection, compliance, and tax collection. The long-term agreement provides an alternative to KRA's existing traditional customs system. The new platform will be integrated into eCitizen, which has already facilitated payments for Kenya Ports Authority services through digital wallets and bank transfers.
