According to Daily News on September 7th, executives in the African automotive assembly industry have called for strengthening policy incentives and promoting regional integration to expand the production scale of medium and heavy-duty vehicles. They stated that this industry is crucial for the development of trade, infrastructure, and logistics across the entire African continent. At the 4th Inter African Trade Fair (IATF2025) held in Algiers, industry leaders pointed out that the African Continental Free Trade Area provides an opportunity to establish regional centers, reduce import dependence, and create technology related employment opportunities. Ezra Merenge, General Manager of GF Automotive Assembly Company in Tanzania, stated that since its establishment during the pandemic, the company has achieved rapid business expansion. We started with an annual production of 50 units in 2020 and have reached 4515 units by 2025, "said Merenge." Our vision is not limited to buying and selling trucks. With six landlocked countries relying on ports in Tanzania, we see opportunities for local car assembly
